This means two things. 4.4 for Nov 20. And flood of media starting tonight.

We eatin' good this month. AND we're starting Warhammer 40,000 next week. So best sci-fi action, best sci-fi tactics, and if we also started Starfinder/Alien/Blade Runner we'd also have best sci-fi roleplaying.

One thing at a time, and we'll get there. Insomnia is the center of gaming in the world now.

Looks fantastic. So much cooler than Rust's workbenches. Let's hope they'll finally make boosted stats persist between updates. And I believe that that's what they'll do. It makes no sense to add more complexity to crafting if no one engages with it because stats don't persist. We'll know next week with the biweekly roadmap update. That's what this is teasing. Tuesday I think it is.

Alpha 4.11 Delayed to Q4

Roadmap Roundup September 9, 2026
https://robertsspaceindustries.com/en/c ... ber-9-2026

The major news on the last Roadmap Roundup was that Alpha 4.11 which will include all three Nyx planets and tons of content was delayed to Q4. Which means November at the earliest, and possibly even December.

Normally I'd be frustrated, but the delay gave us time to play a full monthly Rust wipe (Cult War Journal #2: Breach and Clear), and will give us time to get through the Warhammer 40,000 tutorial missions in my Battlemaster. So it's not like we don't have things to play while we wait. And at the end of the wait... await the Nyx planets, and the new events and missions. And if they end up taking to December, we'll be back into roleplaying by then on top of everything else.

I am not complaining. Let them take as much time as they need, exactly as I am doing. You can't rush this stuff.

P.S. In the meantime they've planned a couple of minor grindy events like Orison Relief Support, but they've kept them sensibly short so everyone can do them solo on their own time if they wish. It's not a big deal either way, you're also free to skip them.

I watched this, it's just over half an hour. Above all, I am glad to hear that Maelstrom is fully working in Squadron 42. People have been wondering about that for a while. We hadn't heard anything about it for so long, we had assumed it's scrapped. But apparently it's all done! That will be something to see. The way they describe ships breaking apart in little pieces with every shot you fire... and the same apparently should work for stuff in FPS.

The coolest thing about the video though was the pic of Nyx I in the background throughout the whole thing, and even better the video of Nyx I right at the end. Incredible next-level planetary tech. And it's in testing right now! We should get it in one-two months at the most. Well before the end of the year!
