So sniper rifles, grenade launchers and the giant railguns with which you can take down ships used to be sold in stores but they can only be found in loot spawns now. This is a great design decision but it doesn’t make much sense in terms of the setting. A better way to do it to maintain setting coherence is like Rust does it so that you could find all weapon types in stores and superior military-grade variations in loot spawns.

At any rate like I said I love it as a game mechanic so what we have to do is 1) Loot more and figure out where the best loot is, and 2) Start saving what we find for PVP events where we’ll be facing players and orgs who have them.

Now I would like to make someone Armorer and hand all these heavy weapons to him, but the only person who can guarantee to be present for all events is me, so it’ll have to be me. So post here when you find something, and we’ll arrange on Discord to meet up so you can hand it over.

Of course if you want to keep the odd such weapon to use outside events, go ahead, but I doubt many of the missions require them, while in events they’ll prove a huge boon I am sure on top of helping make our loadouts and tactics deeper, so I would counsel restraining yourselves and saving the weapons. It would be so cool to build a huge weapons cache (which one day we’ll be able to see racked inside our bases!) and then strategize of how many of them and what kinds to take along to the various events, and who will carry them, and the certifications he’ll have to have or earn, etc. So let’s start building our weapons cache! Try to add a bit of looting to your weekly routine, and share any info on looting here, plus as aforesaid report when you find something.

And remember, when you do find something, consider dropping everything you’re doing and heading home to safely deliver it!

Came back to ArcCorp to check my weapons stash. I've been hanging out near Hurston and MicroTech for the last few sessions and haven't had a chance to come home.

So far I've collected 2 grenade launchers, a sniper, and 2 light machine guns. The light machine guns are a bit weak I think, I've had better combat performance from the SMGs.

Wow that is some stash. We'll make great use of it in Hurston Hurt Locker.

What we could use is some railguns. I've seen people take down ships with them. Not sure if they're good against ground vehicles, but why wouldn't they be?

So yesterday I got a missile launcher, and today I got us a railgun. There's a few more snipers too, and four salvo frag pistols. This pistol has been consistently taking out enemies with one shot, but from the sounds of it it's probably a close-range weapon. Ideal for bunkers and the like.

Managed to get a sniper rifle, missile launcher and three missiles today. They're all stored at Baijini Point.

Google Sheets Initiative

Unread postby shubn » 16 Oct 2025 11:24

I had been using a Google Docs file to write down how many armor pieces I had for specific sets, to track how many full sets I had and which pieces in a set I had the least of in order to focus on these when looting. At the Emperor's request, I started a Google Sheets spreadsheet to collaborate on for an overview of our respective inventories, or at least the items we care about. It's pretty barebones, but we can think of how we want to organize and style it as it grows. I only put the Corbel and Geist armor sets for now, since they're the ones I've been focusing on looting lately. I also made a "Weapons" tab, which is empty for now.

The file is publicly viewable. For editing permissions, it would be best for each person to confirm with me that it's in fact them, maybe on Discord, so that I don't give edit access to randoms. Either request edit access on the doc and tell me which email you sent it from, or just give me your email and I will add you. Here's the URL: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... WLmDBNfp4/

A few notes:

  • If you have edit access, your Google account's name will be displayed. If you don't want your legal name to appear, either change it in your account settings, or use an alt account.

  • You can occasionally lose items between patches, so numbers might not be up to date after a patch.

  • I believe account-bound items are deleted and recreated with every patch, so if you give such an item to someone, it will reappear in your inventory and be gone from theirs when a new (non-hotfix) patch is released.

  • There's currently a bug where your home's persistent hangar can become inaccessible. It just happened to me a few days ago in fact. It may or may not reappear at some point. It should reappear after a patch, but I don't know whether or not the items that were in it will be sent to your inventory. I would hold off on keeping anything you don't want to risk losing in physicalized containers in your persistent hangar for the time being.

  • You can use the search bar in the Freight Manager to look for specific items. Note however that this search currently only works on the item ID, and not the item name. You can use the Item Finder to figure out the item ID. For example, the ID for the "Stirling Hazard Suit" is "clda_utility_heavy_suit_05_01_01".

P.S. If you're wondering why I have no Geist Forest (green) or Rogue (red) currently, I already gave all the ones I had to ysignal and Adjudicator.

I see what you meant when you asked me if the sheet should be public or private. I said public because that is my default response since I am basically a publisher. But nothing is gained by outsiders seeing our rare gear stock, and our members would certainly appreciate a layer of privacy for their accounts, so go ahead and make it private, and let us know when it's done.

Of course, the players can still follow your privacy recommendations on top of that if they want.
